Thai Spiced Tofu

Thai spiced TofuI went to the Farmers Market on Tuesday, and found fresh Green Beans for $1.49/lb. That’s a pretty good price : ) But what can I make with Green Beans….I was thinking for what to make….. It was pretty difficult to decide; should I make authentic Japanese food or other Asian food? (Oh, you know how I LOVE Asian Food. Especially Japanese food.) So I finally decided to make a Thai Food, Thai Spiced Tofu

You know making Thai food is pretty difficult, but this ‘Thai Spiced Tofu‘ is SUPER EASY to make and guaranteed the taste is AWESOMEIt’s a little sweet, but Thai red curry paste brings a good flavor. This is a simple one plate meal, but trust me you will LOVE this : ) Try this ‘Thai Spiced Tofu‘ for dinner and let me know how did you like it : )

Ingredients (Serving for 2):

8 ounce firm Tofu, cut into four 1/2 inch slices

3 tablespoons Thai red curry paste (You can buy in the Asian section of most supermarkets…I bough from Walmart)

3 tablespoons sugar

1/2 pound Green Beans

1/2 cup vegetable broth

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 cup cooked rice


  1. Place the Tofu between layers of paper towels and weight them down with heavy skillet to remove excess water. Set aside to drain for 10 minutes.
  2. Combine the curry paste and sugar. Put half this sauce in a resealable plastic bag. Add the Tofu, seal and set aside for 15 minutes.
  3. In a saucepan, combine the Green Beans, Vegetable broth, oil and the remaining the sauce you made it in #2. Simmer until the beans are tender. About 5-10 minutes. Cover to keep warm.
  4. Lightly coat a nonstick skillet with vegetable cooking spray and place it over medium heat. When it gets hot, add the Tofu and cook until golden (About 4 minutes per side.) Serve with the Green Beans and Rice : ) Enjoy!
